Good afternoon, worthy brothers. For those who do not know me, my name is Alexander Nathan, rollbook number #1077. I am an Aeronautical Science major finishing commercial, and I have the honor of being the current Eta Iota chapter editor. I've decided to create a new initiative as chapter editor: a monthly newsletter so you, as alumni, can stay informed about current events throughout the month.
As alumni, you have the right to know what's going on at the chapter, and I hope this newsletter helps you stay in touch with the chapter you pledged yourself to.

A New Pledge Class
Worthy Brothers, I'd like to formally introduce you to the new fall pledge class, Delta Tau. These 30 young men are comprised of different temperaments, talents, and convictions, coming from all different parts of the world, and are now striving to become formal brothers of this Eta Iota chapter. Thanks to the help of Lukas Blomquist, our current Recruitment Chair, we brought in a staggering 30 new pledges with a 94% bid acceptance rate — one of the highest on campus.
Another Peterson for the Eta Iota Chapter
Over the summer, our current Consul, Tyler Lautieri, attended the Krach Transformational Leaders Workshop — a very prestigious workshop in the Sigma Chi community that's been running since 1947, helping build leaders of men. While there, Brother Lautieri had the honor of receiving another Peterson for this chapter — a blue Peterson for the sixth consecutive year in a row, representing our excellence as a chapter in academics, philanthropy, recruitment, and following our founding values.
The Sweetheart of Sigma Chi
My name is Magda Myslenski, and I have the privilege of serving as this year's Sigma Chi Sweetheart of Eta Iota. I'm currently pursuing a degree in Aeronautical Science and hope to become a commercial pilot. Outside of academics, I have a passion for volunteering with Mission 22 and Folds of Honor. I'm so excited to start fundraising for Huntsman, with a goal of $10,000 for the Sweetheart Challenge. I personally love to hike, go to the beach, and spend time with the brothers at the house. I'm so grateful to have been welcomed into this brotherhood and hope to meet you all soon!
The Eta Iota Chapter is Welcomed into the 50K Club
This year, Sigma Chi Eta Iota raised a record-breaking $63,059 — the largest amount in campus history for a student organization. We couldn't have achieved this without the high ambition of our Philanthropy Chair, Christopher Adam. Under our new Philanthropy Chair, William Short, we're inspired and committed to hit $100K this school year.
Christopher Adam: "The Huntsman trip was a meaningful experience that provided us with the opportunity to collaborate and exchange ideas with other chapters. It served as a powerful reminder of the challenges we've overcome and reinvigorated our drive to reach our $100,000 goal. Beyond its purpose, the trip was also a memorable time to connect with hundreds of brothers from chapters across the nation and Canada, strengthening our shared bond and commitment to the cause."
William Short: "The Huntsman Retreat was one of the most impactful and inspiring weekends I've been a part of. It allowed me to connect with hundreds of Sigma Chis, forming new friendships and sharing a sense of purpose. Touring the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah made the mission a lot more real for me. Seeing where our efforts go and the lives they touch sparked a deeper motivation to continue raising money and become the generation to end cancer."
